Each of the facilities require immediate remediation due to the hazard potential that they contain and is the main focus for NDA as the clean-up mission is undertaken at Sellafield. The panelists will then provide their thoughts on lessons learned as a result of the event investigation the subsequent discussions with staff and how the workforce is responding to the renewed focus on safety conduct of operations and awareness of performance drift. This event was initiated in September 2015 and the operational pause lasted several months.
