Session 22 - The Global Nuclear Energy Partnership (GNEP) and Beyond

This panel focused on the goals and strategic implications of spent fuel recycling as they affect global energy sufficiency, waste management, and nuclear nonproliferation. The panelists presented and discussed government and industrial perspectives on the drivers for fuel recycling, nonproliferation characteristics, economic implications, and the relative roles of government and industry. In addition the panel discussed other developed nations' international efforts and future plans in fuel recycling.
