This panel session focused on the National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA’s) efforts to address its infrastructure challenges. The NNSA has an aging and degrading infrastructure that is posing a risk to workers and the mission. The Office of Safety, Infrastructure & Operations is addressing these issues and making significant progress in improving the safety and operability of the NNSA Nuclear Enterprise. Through this Infrastructure Revolution NNSA has implemented several best in class processes and is working with its sites to build on recent successes. These efforts have placed renewed focus on excess facilities risk reduction and disposition.
