This panel discussed LLW disposal at the NNSS with an overview presentation on DOE’s commitment to responsibly manage these radioactive materials and efforts undertaken to ensure the NNSS Area 5 disposal site maintains an adequate safety envelope to protect the workers and the public both now and in the future. Panelists also shared their perspectives on the NNSS waste acceptance, disposition, and associated topics.
