Session 086 - Worldwide Regulatory Challenges of Radioactive Legacy Sites - Progress in Bi-Lateral Cooperation (Part 2 of 2)

This panel session, part 2 of 2, addressed abnormal situations at legacy sites remaining from military and civilian nuclear technology developments in the 20th century, as they raise many questions about safety and security, as well as environmental and human health protection. These complex legacy situations presented significant challenges to comprehensive, balanced, effective and efficient regulatory supervision and therefore have become the subject of bi-lateral agreements.

Panelists included: Nataliya K.
