WM2013 Conference Proceedings

On behalf of WM Symposia (WMS), it gives us great pleasure to provide you with the WM2013 Conference Proceedings. The annual Waste Management Conference is widely regarded as the premier international conference for the management of radioactive materials and related topics.  WMS was founded to provide a forum for discussing and seeking cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions to the safe management and disposition of radioactive waste and radioactive materials.

WM2013, the 39th annual conference, attracted nearly 2,000 registrants from 36 countries around the world and provided significant opportunities for networking, professional growth and education - as well as business opportunities. This conference was attended by decision makers, project managers, and technical and procurement specialists representing the government and private organizations undertaking the global tasks of radioactive materials management, decommissioning and site remediation.

The technical program of this conference could not have taken place without the help of the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) volunteers. These volunteers work hard to pull together a high quality, educational and technical program for you.  Their hard work resulted in 124 technical sessions including the Thursday Blue Ribbon Commission on America’s Nuclear Future Report.

WMS would also like to extend our most sincere thanks to our sponsors and exhibitors. Without their contributions and efforts, we wouldn’t be able to make this conference happen. The Proceedings include many aspects of the conference such as the Final Program, the opening Plenary Speakers' presentations, panel session presentations and summary reports, the Insight newsletters, as well as lists of our attendees, sponsors and exhibitors with short descriptions of their services. Final papers that were accepted and presented at the conference are included and may be searched by Author, Session, Abstract Number or Keywords.
