WM2014 Schedule

Planning for the next conference for March 2-6, 2014 is well underway.  If you would like to participate as a presenter, or would like to volunteer with WMS, here are some milestones for your planning:
June 1, 2013 - Call for Abstracts Issued

WM2014 will solicit abstracts describing research, development and operational experience over the complete spectrum of nuclear waste activities.  Proposed topics are categorized into general tracks that are reviewed by the WMS Program Advisory Committee Members and will be posted on www.wmsym.org and mailed in early June.

July 1, 2013 - Now Accepting Nominations for Fellow Award, Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Award and WMS Wendell Weart Award

July 14, 2013 - Deadline for returning Exhibitors to secure previous booth location

August 5, 2013 - Open Sell of exhibit booths begins

August 16, 2013 - Abstracts for WM2014 due & nominations for WMS Fellow Award due

September 15 - 17, 2013 - Abstract Review Meeting
Members of the WMS Program Advisory Committee (PAC) gather to review submitted abstracts and create the preliminary program for the WM2014 Conference.

October 1, 2013 – All Primary contacts are notified of acceptance and sessions

October 15, 2013 - Registration opens

November 8, 2013 - Full-Length Draft Papers Due

Draft papers are submitted and reviewed by members of the PAC in their area of expertise. 
November 29, 2013 - Reviewer comments to Authors & WMS PAC Award and WMS Wendell Weart Award nominations due

Authors are given several weeks for any requested revisions before submitting their final paper. 
January 10, 2014 - Full-Length Final Papers due

February 14, 2014 – PowerPoint presentations due
 
March 1, 2014 – PAC Meeting at the WM2014 Conference

March 2-6, 2014 - WM2014 Conference at the Phoenix Convention Center, Phoenix AZ
