This panel will focus on the completion of the restructuring of AECL and the transition of Canadian Nuclear Laboratories to a three-mission national laboratory that will manage under Government-owned, contractor-operated model, similarly to that employed at UK and US laboratories. With the recent competition of the procurement process and wind-up of the transition-in phase, the panel will offer perspectives on the new business paradigm, the vision for the future of the laboratories, and the key initiatives that will be launched at CNL in the next 2 years.
