This panel will focus on highlighting the progress that has been made on the development of tools relative to closure of complex sites throughout the DOE Complex. Panelists will include both National Laboratory principal investigators and student interns performing related studies at test beds located at Savannah River Site and the Hanford Reservation. The topics to be presented will include chemical, physical and biological approaches to in-situ sequestration of contaminants and methods to monitor both performance and long term effectiveness to ensure reduction of risk to human health and the environment.
