This panel discussed preliminary findings of the Commission to review the effectiveness of the National Energy Laboratories. The Commission, established on May 20, 2014 by US DOE Secretary of Energy, was expected to publish initial findings in February 2015. In addition to the initial findings, panelists addressed changes that the national laboratories may be making in order to increase the effectiveness and relevance of the labs.
