This workshop presented a topical session on the US Administration's Blue Ribbon Commission (BRC) on America's Nuclear Future. The BRC completed its final report to Congress in January 2012. The Blue Ribbon Commission, which filed their charter with Congress the week before WM2010, has conducted a comprehensive review of policies for managing the back end of the nuclear fuel cycle, including all alternatives for the storage, processing, and disposal of civilian and defense used nuclear fuel and nuclear waste. The WM2012 conference discussed the report and these results.
