This panel session will focus on the US DOE Procurement and Contracting Opportunities. Major facility procurements were initiated in FY2006 for the US DOE Prime Contracts at DOE Facilities and these procurements will continue through FY2007 and FY2008. A review of the DOE procurement process will be explored with several examples of completed procurements. In addition, possible changes in the future procurements will be discussed as will the continuation of the initiative to award an increased percentage of contracts to small and disadvantaged business in future procurements.
