This second panel focused on the work of the Featured Site – Hanford and specifically that of the Richland Operations Office located in Richland, Washington. It showcased recent progress, challenges and planned efforts in radioactive waste management, waste disposition, environmental remediation, and D&D. The panel began with a high-level overview of the major projects, goals and future work. An embedded interactive discussion took place around project-specific posters which were placed in the Panel room. The last part of the panel was devoted to the more technical aspects of the specific projects discussed during the overview.
