Session 082 - NRC Draft Revision to Branch Technical Position on Concentration Averaging and Encapsulation

This panel focused on the NRC proposed revisions to the Branch Technical Position (BTP) on Concentration Averaging and Encapsulation. The proposed revisions are the first major revisions to the BTP in over 20 years and is the first step toward a performance-based risk-informed rule. Items specifically addressed included blending, factor of 10 and concentration averaging over encapsulation media.
