This panel focused on a select set of advanced deep geological repository programs worldwide and provided a forum for interested parties to learn more about these programs. Notwithstanding the first deep geological repository for SNF and HLW in the USA was brought to a virtual standstill in 2009, several other repository programs continue to make considerable progress that deserves to be recognized and used to advantage by interested parties. Repository programs reported upon the current status and future plans, as well as the perceived reasons underlying the success and the failure of components of their respective repository program and answered questions from the audience.
