| NitroCision manufactures and sells a product called the CryoJet. The CryoJet utilizes a patented method of cooling and pressurizing nitrogen creating an ultra high velocity jet of liquefied nitrogen that has a density comparable to water. By regulating the temperature and velocity, the jet of liquefied nitrogen can be used to cut a wide variety of materials, clean or erode the surface of an object, as in conventional sandblasting operations, and drill precision holes in various materials. The technology is revolutionary in that it eliminates all secondary waste created/generated by conventional cutting, cleaning, abrading and drilling technologies (i.e. sandblasting, water jet, sponge blasting, etc.) thereby eliminating environmental hazards and significant time and cost associated with the capture, treatment and disposal of secondary waste streams. The gases utilized in this technology safely dissipate into the atmosphere leaving only the material being cut, cleaned, abraded or drilled. Significant advantages of this technology over current conventional technologies are as follows: 1) The high density, high velocity, uniform particle stream achieves a more consistent, uniform and precise surface treatment than current conventional technologies; 2) It can cut through a variety of materials, hard or soft, without adding water or heat; 3) It can be used in hazardous, radioactive and flammable environments; and 4) It can be tuned to precision for different applications on a wide variety of materials including food processing, paint removal, industrial cleaning, hazardous and radioactive decontamination and product manufacturing, to name a few. |
