| The Office of Environmental Management s science and technology program is focused on radically decreasing the cost and time of Department of Energy site cleanup through a focus on closure and baseline improvements. The science and technology program provides direct technical assistance to help meet closure milestones. In addition, it develops or identifies alternatives and step improvements to high cost and high risk baselines. Activities within EM's science and technology program include research, development, demonstration, testing, and evaluation designed to produce innovative technologies and technology systems that solve relevant cleanup problems. |
