The Amarillo National Resource Center for plutonium is a university consortium of the Texas A & M system, the university of Texas system, and Texas Tech. The centers mission is to serve the Texas Panhandle. The state of Texas, and the U.S. Department of Energy by conducting scientific and technical research, advising decision makers, and providing information on nuclear weapons material and related environmental, health, safety, and nonproliferation issues while burkling academic excellence in science and technology.
